Ridglan sued us. They lost.
Ridglan Farms has filed two lawsuits related to our efforts. First, they sued the Judge who was handling the Special Prosecutor case. Then they sued us directly. They lost both lawsuits.
A textbook attempt to silence advocacy.
On April 4, 2025, Ridglan Farms filed a lawsuit against Dane4Dogs, co-founder Rebekah Robinson, co-founder Jamie Hagenow, and former Ridglan Farms employee Scott Gilbertson, alleging “tortious interference with contractual relationships and willful and malicious injury to business.”
On June 18, 2025, we filed our response, a Motion to Dismiss. This lawsuit is a textbook attempt to silence constitutionally protected advocacy through costly litigation. Ridglan Farms is suing us for organizing protests, speaking out, and petitioning authorities regarding Ridglan's treatment of animals. We are being targeted for what the Supreme Court has called core First Amendment activities.
Ten months. Eight filings. One verdict.

We won — but defending against a SLAPP suit takes legal hours, expert support, and grassroots fundraising.
